The Impact

RISE Erwin is a completely volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Every person involved donates their time—outside of their jobs and away from their families—because we love this community and believe in its future. RISE is independent of any government entity and does not receive taxpayer funding.

Since September 27th, 2024, our community has come together in ways we could have never imagined. Through the generosity of donors, the dedication of volunteers, and the resilience of Erwin and Unicoi County, we launched the Help Erwin Heal grant program to support recovery efforts.

Through Help Erwin Heal, RISE has distributed $379,500 directly to individuals, businesses, and nonprofits rebuilding from the impacts of Hurricane Helene.

We are proud of what we’ve accomplished together—and we remain committed to transparency, stewardship, and our mission of helping Erwin heal and rise.
